Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Assembling A Pair Of Earrings With Polymer Clay

Middle of last year, I shared how I make polymer clay canes in this post.  From clay canes to making my own polymer clay beads play a unique part in my little jewelry crafting business.

In this post, I will be sharing how I make polymer clay beads and then assemble them into a simple pair of earrings.

Using an existing flower cane design that I made before, I slice pieces of the cane thinly so that I can cover the whole ball of clay with it. When it's all covered, I roll the bead evenly on my palm so that the cane conforms into a smooth surface.

When I was done with that, I would a make a hole by poking a metal headpin through the centre of the bead and send it to my dedicated oven for baking in order for the beads to be hardened. Once the beads are ready, it has to be taken out to cool for at least 5-10 minutes before I can start working with it.

I chose the necessary embellishments to assemble the earrings - ear wires, silver bead connectors and swarovski fresh water pearls. These extra embellishments are necessary, attributing to the quality and the aesthetics in the creation.

I hope you've enjoyed this post and will appreciate what all handmade crafters have to offer to bring you the best from our fields.

Till the next post, have a blessed week!
