Hello! Thanks for visiting my blog.

I am on a blogging hiatus as I would like to focus on my jewelry craft work. Hence, I will not be taking in requests for reviews of any nature in the future. If you do have queries on my jewelry work instead, please get in touch via email : oon.adeline@gmail.com

The Perfect Tween Girl Gift

Nope. I wasn't the "awesome mom" that presented her this gift. But I was the "awesome mom" who brought her there. :p

Thanks to Regina from mummymoo.com, who had so kindly gifted Megan her first manicure and pedicure session as her birthday present. You cannot imagine how thrilled she was to have this pampering session - minus the silent "ow ow ow" part when they pushed her cuticles down...

Photo taken from my daughter's instagram. It was her choice of color and design and I won't deny it looks really nice on her!
To think my daughter has had a manicure experience at 11 years of age and her outdated mommy has not had one done before. But not that I am complaining since I don't really like the thought having chipped nails soon after because of daily chores, nor have people touching my toes.(I'm private like that.)

Sands Sky Park @ Marina Bay Sands

It is odd that we seem to do the touristy thingy in Singapore during the National Day holidays. I guess its a re-affirmation of how much we love our country. A visit to Marina Bay Sands Sky Park was one of them!

Breath-taking view from the 56th floor! Shot taken with my Olympus Pen.

It was supposed to be a surprised visit planned by the hubs and kiddos. All I was told to do : "just bring your camera! You wouldn't want to miss this!" ... although the love of my kiddos to me couldn't bear the test of keeping a secret before we arrived. :p

I wanted to include the beautiful crescent moon and a single star in this photo which we saw that night. It completes the scene of our shore's beautiful skyline.
If you're planning to visit the Sands Sky Park, be prepared to queue for tickets and at the lift lobby for the going up and the going down!

Ticket Prices:
S$20 for adults
S$14 for children (aged between 2 - 12 years*)
S$17 for senior citizens (aged 65 years and above)
Children under 2 years may enter for free.

Desserts - Stressed Spelled Backwards

Life's little pleasures are made of desserts.
Depriving ourselves from it is probably as good as not living life to the fullest!

For Breakfast, Tea or Dessert.

 Mmmmmmmmm.......

Thanks to my friend, the Domestic Goddess Wannabe for her fool proof banana cake (or is it bread?) recipe that would make anyone think you are a seasoned baker. :)

Now excuse me while I go get myself a second helping.

On The Hip Arab Street

It was a quaint Mexican restaurant we chanced upon, occupying a shop house at Beach Road, at the sleepier end of the hip Arab Street enclave.

The weather was great to have an alfresco lunch while absorbing the colorful sights along the street.

We had our satisfying dose of fajitas and quesadilla.

Do you enjoy a good Mexican fare?

Fear of Height... CONQUERED!

It was a youth outdoor challenge event organized by our church to Shines Outdoor Playground - how apt to have their theme event named :
Dare to Soar!  And daring the secondary one youths were!

It was another proud moment for me because Brandon would never go for any tree-top walks or cable car rides - just nothing to do with heights. And at this event, he was determined to complete his course and was completely fearless in my eyes.

It is yet another milestone for him. Where this boy of mine has clearly become a man and proved that when he is faced with adversity, he can overcome it as long as he stays focused.

The Little Boy Who Obliged A Photo

I heard it was a rare treat, to be obliged a photo. What's more, with me carrying him!

Who's this little boy? It is none other than Regina's offspring that I read so much about in her blog. I could almost always sense his every growing up moment since a year ago.

And you know what I love about him? He calls me "che che". :p

[Wordless Wednesday] - My Little Ballerina

Not many parents would agree to send their daughters for ballet lessons - or so I hear.

I had a reason. I wanted her to be aware of her body postures and perhaps, instill a little bit more grace into my little lady. (ok ok, it was actually my ambition not fulfilled lah!)

It has been six years since Megan started learning ballet and her interest in dance has not waned.

Here's sharing a short video of her grade 4 dance studies which she will be performing for her exams next week. She's the one on the left.

Enjoy!

Artificial Flowers As My Home Decor

It's a yearly affair for me to decorate different corners in my home with artificial flowers to welcome the Chinese lunar new year.

 Why artificial you ask?
Because I don't have green fingers.
Maintenance wise, artificial works best for me.
And a visit to the florist for fresh cut flowers can wait till Friday.

So do I have any live plants in my home?
I don't. Its sad when the live plants die in my hands.
So the best we can do to get our visual dosages is a trip to the florist.
